<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type color liquid crystal display device capable of improving color reproducibility and improving color purity and luminance of images. <P>SOLUTION: The reflection type color liquid crystal display device is provided with a transparent substrate, a reflection film formed on the transparent substrate, where first transmissive holes for light transmission are formed in a predetermined pattern, a step difference forming layer installed between the reflection film and the transparent substrate, where second transmissive holes are formed at parts corresponding to the first transmissive holes, a color filter layer for which a unit filter layer is formed in the predetermined pattern in a transmission area filled and formed in the first and second transmissive holes and a reflective area formed on the reflection film around the transmission area, and a transparent front plate connected to the substrate so as to form a predetermined interval in between them and forming a liquid crystal display part between the color filter layer and the lower surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
