PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaching a button hardly slipping off from a fabric. SOLUTION: This method for attaching the button is characterized by joining the button 2 with the fabric 3 by a thread-like hollow braid 1. The braid 1 is obtained by braiding many natural fiber filaments or synthetic filaments by a braiding machine. The thickness of the braid is approximately 0.3-2 mm, and preferably similar to that of generally marketed sewing thread. To finish as a thread-like state, the number of filaments constituting the braid is approximately 1-50, and the braid is finished at approximately 5-16 dozens, preferably 8 dozens by the braiding machine.
