A vertical lift type arm device with excellent maintainability of side faces of an engine and with excellent visibility in a lateral direction from a driver's cab is provided. For this purpose, the device includes a set of left and right control links (14) each having three connection shaft holes, a set of left and right central mounting parts (23) which are provided at a center part of the main frame (20), and a set of left and right mounting parts (11a) which are provided at rear parts of the lift arms (11) and extend downward, front end parts of the control links (14) and the central mounting parts (23) are pivotably attached to each other, center parts of the control links (14) and lower end parts of the mounting parts (11a) are pivotably attached to each other, and connection axes (54a) of the control links (14) and the central mounting parts (23) are provided at a same height as or at a higher position than connection axes (52a) of lower end parts of the rear links (16) and the main frame (20). <IMAGE>
