PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capture of convenient structure for reducing scattering of ink or generation of ink mist in which the flying distance of an ink drop required before striking a print medium is minimized while enhancing an ink removing function. SOLUTION: The catcher includes a first part of first porosity having a liquid drop striking face inclining at some angle against the track of an ink liquid drop not used for printing. The liquid drop striking face terminates at its edge part. A second part of second porosity has a front edge being arranged with reference to the first part.
