PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing glass powder capable of obtaining the glass powder having a small particle diameter and a narrow distribution of the diameters with high manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the glass powder includes a process for adhering tetraalkoxysilanes to the glass fiber, a process for reaction to change the tetraalkoxysilane to a condensed composition, coat the glass fiber with the condensed composition, and obtain the coated glass fiber, and a process for pulverizing the coated glass fiber.
