<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet with a good plane state after a drying process without deteriorating acceptability of other ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet has a coloring material accepting layer on a base material. The coloring material accepting layer contains a telomer-type fluorine-based surface-active agent. Preferably, the coloring material accepting layer is formed by further applying first paint including inorganic particulates, a water-soluble resin and a cross-linking agent including a boron compound, and second paint capable of cross-linking the water-soluble resin.
