PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor capable of improving a working property at the time of replacing the hermetic electric compressor and preventing a solder material from entering the inside of the hermetic electric compressor. SOLUTION: In the hermetic electric compressor, a compressor main body 2 is provided with a discharge pipe 3 discharging coolant and a suction pipe 5 sucking the coolant. A discharge piping connection part 3A is extended, disposed on the end of the discharge pipe 3, and connected to discharge piping 14. A suction piping connection part 5A is extended, disposed on the end of the suction pipe 5, and connected to suction piping 16. The length 3H of the discharge piping connection part 3A is about three times longer than the outer diameter 3D of the discharge pipe 3, and the length 5H of the suction piping connection part 5A is approximately the same as the length of the discharge piping connection part 3H.
