PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag filter satisfying heat resistance, dimensional stability, filterability, air permeability, repairing properties or the like required in a dust collector for dust-containing gas containing solid particles of an urban incinerator, an industrial waste incinerator or the like and having excellent economical efficiency inclusive of a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The length difference between the joined parts of the sewing surface of the bag filter formed by sewing a rectangular felt fabric integrated with a filter layer comprising a support layer (scrim) and staple fibers into a cylindrical shape is set to 1.0% or less. Further, the warp yarns of the scrim of the felt fabric and the sewing line of the bag filter are substantially parallel to the center line of the bag filter. Furthermore, the bag filter is not deformed even if thermally set at 240°C. Further, 30 wt.% of the felt fabric comprises a polyphenylene sulfide fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
