<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal cell which lacksβ-catenin and/or plakoglobin. <P>SOLUTION: Aβ-catenin-lacked cell, a plakoglobin-lacked cell, and aβ- catenin and plakoglobin-doubly lacked cell are prepared by a targeting method or the like using mouse teratocarcinoma cell strain F9 cell, respectively.
