PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens grinding device capable of observing the inside of a processing chamber and facilitating a work such as a work for chucking glasses to a clamping means without trouble of a worker or deodorizing malodor generated at the time of grinding of lens of glasses such as a plastic lens or the like. SOLUTION: The lens grinding device is provided with a processing chamber 17 for grinding an unprocessed lens L of glasses to a ball-like shape of a frame of glasses. In this device, a light source 39 for illuminating the inside of the processing chamber 17 is provided in close contact with the processing chamber 17. In the lens grinding device provided with the processing chamber 17 for grinding the unprocessed lens L of glasses to the ball-like shape of the frame of glasses, a photocatalyst 38 is provided in close contact with the processing chamber 17 through a side wall opening 32 provided at a rear side wall 14 of the processing chamber 17.
