<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine by which amusement is raised in a game by fully showing the characteristic of a variable display device which is obtained by combining a picture display part and a mechanical variable display part. <P>SOLUTION: A picture display control means displays and controls a character 260 or identifying information in a state to affect drum display parts 204a and 204b. A rotation driving control means performs a prescribed variable display operation in the drum display parts 204a and 204b in response to the character 260 or the identifying information. The character 260 or the identifying information is displayed in relation to the prescribed variable display operation in the drum display parts 204a and 204b. Thus, display with a high degree of freedom in a liquid crystal display part 203 and physical display in the drum display parts 204a and 204b are adjacently arranged and combined in the variable display device.
