APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RIVET

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for fabricating a rivet are provided to improve productivity of the rivet and to save manufacturing cost thereof by continuously manufacturing rivets formed at both ends thereof with slots and formed at a center thereof with a spacer section. CONSTITUTION: A rivet manufacturing apparatus includes a pair of blocks(13,15) installed on a frame(10). A moving device is coupled to one block in order to move the block towards the other block. A pair of pushers(30,35) are arranged at outer portions of the blocks(13,15). At least one main punch(90) is exposed to an inner portion of the block(13). At least one die(60) is exposed to an inner portion of the other block(15). The main punch(90) is formed at an inner front portion thereof with a perforation hole(91). A punching pin(93) is provided at a center of the perforation hole(91). A sleeve(95) is mounted around the punching pin(93) in order to push parent material.
