PURPOSE: A thin film transistor liquid crystal display having an optical sensor is provided to construct a fingerprint recognition settlement system by directly attaching the optical sensor layer to a terminal, and reduce the manufacturing cost without changing the size or thickness of the terminal. CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor layer is formed on an upper transparent substrate(21). A sensor thin film transistor part of the optical sensor layer is made up of a sensor gate electrode, a photosensitive layer(24), a sensor source electrode(25), a sensor drain electrode(23), so that the sensor thin film transistor part generates optical current. A charging part of the optical sensor layer is made up of a first transparent electrode(28), insulating films(27,29), and a second transparent electrode(26) for storing the optical current in electric charge form. A switch thin film transistor part of the optical sensor layer is made up of a switch gate electrode(30), a semiconductor layer(31), a switch source electrode(33), and a switch drain electrode(32) for selectively emitting the electric charges of the charging part. An array layer(40) and a color filter layer(42) are formed on a lower transparent substrate(43). A liquid crystal layer(39) is interposed between the upper transparent substrate and the lower transparent substrate.
