PURPOSE: A semi-transmissive liquid crystal display device is provided to form multi domains in the case of horizontal and vertical alignment for improving the wide viewing angle and the luminance. CONSTITUTION: A semi-transmissive liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates(300,350) facing each other, polarization plates(300a,350a) formed on outer surfaces of the substrates, reflecting parts and transmitting parts formed in pixels of the first substrate, a first alignment film(311) formed on the first substrate with different alignment directions on the reflecting parts and the transmitting parts, a second alignment film(354) formed on the second substrate with different alignment directions on portions corresponding to the reflecting parts and the transmitting parts, and a liquid crystal layer formed between the substrates. |
