PURPOSE: A method for transmitting an instant message to a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to transmit a message, a mail or a file and user a chatting service through a mobile terminal even in a log-off state. CONSTITUTION: The number of a mobile terminal which is desired to receive an instance message is received from a first client terminal, which has downloaded and installed an instant messenger, and stored(S100,S110). As the first client terminal requests a message transmission to a second client terminal, it is checked whether the second client terminal is in a log-on/off state. If the second client terminal is in a log-off state, the instant message is transmitted as a short message form to the corresponding mobile terminal(S120-S150). |
