PURPOSE: A lift system for opening a manhole cover is provided to improve work efficiency by adjusting the lifting height of a manhole appropriately and to prevent the loss or damage of a manhole cover. CONSTITUTION: The lift system for opening a manhole cover comprises: a take-up unit(50) provided with two hanger units(40) to hang on an opening groove(72) of a manhole cover(71), a driving unit(60) rotating the take-up unit(50), and a locking unit(50a); and a bearing unit composed of a bracing post(29) which is connected with a bearing metal of a lower bearing and an upper bearing by a ratchet pin fitted with a ratchet, and a handle post(28) which contains a rotary V-groove formed on the reciprocating bar.
