METHOD FOR FORMING POST SPACERS OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A method for forming post spacers of a liquid crystal display is provided to form a uniform cell gap of an entire panel, thereby realizing the uniform brightness characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An active area and a dummy area are defined on a substrate. A plurality of black matrices(11) are formed at an outline area of the active area. RGB resins are selectively formed on the active area and the dummy area and thereafter etched to form color pixels(12c). A passivation film(14) is formed on the color pixels. A photosensitive resin is formed on the passivation film and selectively etched to form half-tone mask patterns on the photosensitive resin. A plurality of post spacers(13a) uniform in height are formed by selectively etching the photosensitive resin by using the half-tone mask patterns.
