PURPOSE: An apparatus for playing audio is provided to realize a user interface convenient for users by simplifying operations and placing a screen window in the center of a body unit, easily keep and carry the apparatus for playing audio. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical body unit(30) is formed by combining a semi-cylindrical front body unit with a rear body unit. An upper cover(10) is combined with an upper part of the body unit. A lower cover(50) is combined with a lower part of the body unit. A screen window(32) is formed at the body unit. A control unit(36) formed in one switch structure is formed below the screen window for controlling operations of an apparatus(100) for playing audio. The screen window is formed at a flat plate concave part of the body unit. A main circuit board and an LCD circuit board are assembled between the front body unit and the rear body unit, mounting circuit parts including a power element, a memory element, a DSP(Digital Signal Processor), a D/A(Digital to Analog) converter, an A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, a mode transform unit, an amplifier, a multiplexer, and a microprocessor.
