PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device for portable telephone set or the like in which a service such as information provision can be utilized by performing an automatic connection from a portable telephone set to a specific connecting destination without caring of the exhaustion of a battery in the portable telephone set and the operation of connections from the portable telephone set to the same connecting destination can be simplified after the next time. SOLUTION: The charging device for portable telephone set is provided with a charging voltage generating part 11 for generating a charging voltage for charging the battery of the portable telephone set, a control part 12 for generating a control command for the automatic connection from the portable telephone set through a communication line to the specific connecting destination and sending the command to the portable telephone set and a connection part 13 connected to the external connecting terminal of the portable telephone set for transmitting the charging voltage generated in the charging voltage generating part 11 and the control command generated in the control command 12 through the external connecting terminal to the portable telephone set.
