PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record audio information having a plurality of streams employing a plurality of channels and to specify a combination arrangement of multisurrounding speakers having variaty in a relatively simple manner in an information recording medium such as a high density optical disk or the like which is represented by a DVD and is capable of recording video and audio information in a high density.

SOLUTION: Recording is made into a DVD 1 for audio information 303 of a plurality of channels to be outputted from a plurality of speakers located at sixteen different kinds of preset positions and surrounding control information (301, 302 and 304) which indicates that audio information recorded in the respective channels is to be outputted from which speaker among a plurality of speakers.
