PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery, capable of keeping the interval between electrodes and also eliminating outwise swelling, by stacking two or more elliptical cylinder type wound power generating elements 1 and then fastening/covering with a sheet material 5. SOLUTION: While two or more elliptical cylinder type wound power generating elements 1, having flat section of peripheral side surfaces stacked together, are pressurized by the flat sections on both ends faced each other by a presser, etc., they are fastened with an adhesive tape 6, by fastening the sheet material 5 which covers the peripheries of the peripheral side surfaces of the power generating elements 1.
