PURPOSE: A washing machine having a heater fixing unit is provided to improve the reliability by fastening the electric heater firmly and by preventing heat of the electric heater from being transmitted directly to a water tub. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a water tub(20) storing washing water, a heater(60) arranged in the water tub to heat water in boiling washing, and a heater fixing unit(70) fastening the heater to the water tub. The heater fixing unit has a bracket(71) combined with the part of the heater by placing, an assembling member(72) combining the bracket with the water tub, and insulating members(73L,73R) arranged between the assembling member and the bracket to prevent heat of the heater from being transmitted to the assembling member and the water tub. The electric heater is fastened firmly, and heater transfer to the water tub is prevented by arranging the insulating member between the bracket and the assembling member.
