<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit that is small in size, light in weight and superior in versatility, and also to provide an imaging device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises a plurality of rectifying elements (D11 to D16) and a plurality of electric charge accumulating elements (C11 to C15). The device also comprises: a boosting circuit (324) that sequentially accumulates electric charges to the plurality of electric charge accumulating elements according to an AC input signal and outputs a boosting voltage; and switching circuits (Q11, Q12, Q21 and Q22) that switch the polarity of the boosting voltage when the boosting circuit sequentially accumulates the electric charges to the plurality of electric charge accumulating elements. The boosting circuit comprises circuit sections (C21, C22) that feed the electric charges accumulated at positive and negative sides according to the AC input signal. Since there are provided the circuit sections that feed the electric charges accumulated at the positive and negative sides according of the AC input signal and the switching circuits, reduction in size and weight of the power unit can be achieved, thus allowing the power unit applicable to the wide range of use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
