Device enabling use of a 2.5 inch hard disk as a detachable storage device comprises a disk support (1) with an opening (3) for insertion of the hard disk (24) so that it connects to a 2.5 inch disk socket connection (16). The latter serves to convert the 2.5 inch disk input to a 3.5 inch disk input (15). The disk is ejected by lateral movement of a command button (9) so that an oblique shaft (13) pushes the disk in a forward direction.
