The board, designed to be drawn along by a wing or kite, has one or more fins (2) with a relatively large surface area located between front (4) and rear (5) foot grips and in the central part of the board's width. In variants of the design it can have two fins side by side or one after the other, with a smaller fin (3) towards the rear of the board. The board itself is broad, with two pairs of foot grips (4, 5) set on either side of its centre line, where the surface of the board slopes towards the outside. The underside of the board has a shallow V-shaped or curved cross-section.
