PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone which is simple for operation and provides many functions, increases the number of keys in a key operation part, and reduces functions for a key. SOLUTION: The portable telephone characterizes in that it comprises a 1st housing which provides at least a receiver, and a 2nd housing which provides at least a transmitter, the two housings are combined by a combined part, the 1st housing and the 2nd housing are rotatably combined by making a supporting axis through the 1st housing and the 2nd housing as a supporting point, the 1st housing and the 2nd housing provide at least a display part each, and at least two different faces of the 1st housing and the 2nd housing provide key operation parts, respectively.
