PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device configured by conducting electrodes of an LCD and connection terminals on a flexible printed circuit board (hereinafter called a flexible board) via a rubber connector that reduces the number of required members so as to reduce that cost. SOLUTION: An LCD 2, the flexible board 3, and the rubber connector 4 are placed on a placing part 6 of an LCD holder 1. Engaging an engaging hole 10 provided to a retainer 5 with an engaging projection 9 provided to the placing part 6 provides a press down force from the retainer 5 to the rubber connector 4 so as to closely contact the LCD 2 and the flexible board 3 with the rubber connector 4 thereby conducting the electrodes of the LCD 2 to the connection terminals on the flexible board 3.
