FACSIMILE APPARATUS, TERMINAL, AND ALARM REPORTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatuses and a method whereby the configurations of their alarming equipment are so simplified as to reduce their costs. SOLUTION: A master facsimile apparatus FAX1 makes periodic calls to a slave facsimile apparatus 2 (having no transmitter and no receiver) under the control of a timer 18. When obtaining no response from the called slave facsimile apparatus 2, the master facsimile apparatus FAX1 transmits automatically a message information registered previously in a memory portion 12 of the master facsimile apparatus FAX1 via a telephone circuit 4 to the terminal of a reporting destination registered previously in the memory portion 12 of the master facsimile apparatus FAX1.
