PURPOSE: A heat exchanger is provided to improve efficiency of heat exchange and pressure-proof quality. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger includes a first header pipe(10) and a second header pipe(20) placed to be parallel to each other and separated from each other, and having sections approximately circular; a plurality of radiating tubes(70) joined to connect the first header pipe and the second header pipe in longitudinal direction; a plurality of radiating fins(80) installed between the radiating tubes; a refrigerant inlet pipe(50) formed on the first header pipe; a refrigerant outlet pipe(60) formed on the first header pipe or the second header pipe depending on flow of refrigerant; and at least one first heat cut-off unit built in the first header pipe and the second header pipe, cutting off vertical flow of refrigerant to allow refrigerant to flow in multi-stepped channels, and cutting off vertical heat exchange of refrigerant. The first heat cut-off unit is a pair of baffles(32a,32b) placed to be parallel to each other and separated from each other so as to form a heat cut-off space cutting off flow of refrigerant. At least one heat cutting off hole(34) is formed on walls of the first header pipe and the second header pipe on which the heat cut-off space is placed in peripheral direction.
