PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a user failes to watch a desired program by forgetting to turn the power source on. SOLUTION: In this portable communication apparatus 1 with a built-in television, a portable communication part 11 and a receiver part 12 for broadcast signals are installed in the same frame, a processing part 31 connected with the output of a demodulation part 30 and the display part 35 which is selectively connected with the output of the processing part 31 or the output of a control part 17 in the portable communication part 11 are arranged in the receiver part 12, and the power source of the receiver 12 is turned on, on the basis of a control signal inputted to an antenna 13. As a result, the receiver 12 turns the power source on automatically and starts displaying, and a program which the user want is not missed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
