NETWORK STATE ADAPTIVE ERROR CONTROL METHOD IN FOIP

PURPOSE: A network state adaptive error control method in FoIP(Fax over Internet Protocol) is provided to use an appropriate error control method in real time according to a network state when facsimile data is transmitted through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: T.38 facsimile data is received. The T.38 facsimile data is monitored to confirm whether or not the data has an error(301). Predetermined statistical information about the T.38 facsimile data is transmitted to a media gateway controller(302). The T.38 facsimile data is transmitted through a transmission method that depends on protocol used in the transmission. In case of media gateway control protocol, the statistical information is loaded in a connection parameter to be sent. The statistical information is loaded in a statistic technique parameter to be transmitted when media gateway control is used.
