The applicator device consists of a carrier part (1), which is preferably also designed as a feed part for the application medium, and of a doctor part (2). The doctor part is matched to the application surface, preferably of a rotating stencil or the like. The two parts, namely the carrier part and doctor part, are connected to one another by means of spring elements (3) arranged on both sides of the application slot. When the doctor part is attached, this therefore presses elastically against the application surface. But there is also the possibility of pressing the doctor part actively against the application surface, if the spring elements are designed as diaphragms and above them are arranged pressure chambers, into which regulatable or controllable pressure can be introduced. The spring elements preferably consist of elastomeric plates. The application slot is sealed off by means of band-like gaskets made of elastomeric material and can be shortened. <IMAGE>
