PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental monitor and computer program capable of notifying a user that the monitor normally operates and giving convenience to the user by outputting information even in a normal situation. SOLUTION: This environmental monitor 20 is provided with a signal acquiring means (CPU) 2 attached to a device 50 in a house and for acquiring a signal from sensors 12 to 14 and 51 to 54, an information generating means (CPU) 2 for generating warning information when determined an abnormal state in accordance with the signal and generating information on an environment when determined a normal state, outputting means (alarm buzzer and liquid crystal displaying part) 4 and 6 for outputting the generated information, communication equipment 8 for calling to a prescribed calling destination, and a calling instructing means (CPU) 2 for instructing the communication equipment 8 to make a call when the warning information is generated.
