METHOD FOR MANAGING SESSION IN EXTERNAL AGENT FOR SUPPORTING MOBILE IP ADDRESS

PURPOSE: A method for managing a session in an external agent for supporting a mobile IP address is provided to support IP mobility in even case that a mobile host moves between mobile communication networks different in a radio connection method. CONSTITUTION: If an external agent receives a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) registration request message from a mobile host, the external agent transmits a converted mobile node request message to an authenticating server and a state of a session is converted into a mobile node standby state. A mobile node reply message received from the authenticating server is converted into a mobile IP registration reply message to be transmitted to the mobile host and the state of the session is converted into a mobile IP activation state. The mobile IP registration request message received from the mobile host is analyzed, so that a message according to the analysis is transmitted to the authenticating server or the local agent, and the state of the session is converted. If the mobile host transmits a session release request, a session release request message is generated and transmitted to the authenticating server and the state of the session is converted into a session release standby state. According to a session termination command message received from the authenticating server, the session is released and converted into an idle state.
