A circuit arrangement for operating/running at least one light emitting diode (LED) has at least one heat generating power component (3) and at least one LED (2), in which the heat generating power component (3) and the LED (2) are largely thermally decoupled. The power component (3) and the LED (2) are arranged on a common circuit board (1) or a common conducting film and thermal decoupling is realized by at least two heat sinks (4,5) mutually spaced from the circuit board (1) or the conducting foil.
