PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condensate processing system and method capable of easily enhancing the purity of condensate circulated within a system to a desired level at which no troubles will occur, while reducing the amount of condensate discharged out of the system to a required minimum amount, by improving the process of purifying a specific condensate dechlorination tower which is performed prior to the normal operation of a plant which is operated on condition that part or the whole of condensate is made to bypass a condensate dechlorination device. SOLUTION: During normal operation, part or the whole of condensate from a condensor is made to bypass the condensate dechlorination device. When the ion-exchange resin of either of the condensate dechlorination towers is changed, the process of causing the condensate passed through the condensate dechlorination tower to blow out of the system, an individual circulation process for causing the condensate to individually circulate only for the condensate dechlorination tower, and a recovery blow process for returning the condensate from the condensate dechlorination tower to the condensor are carried out in that order, after which the normal operation is carried out.
