PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently promote the atomization of fuel by spreading fuel in extremely thin film shape in a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine spreading fuel in a film shape and atomizing the same. SOLUTION: A fuel injection hole 30 is provided at a part opposing a valve element 24 of the fuel injection valve. The fuel injection hole 30 is provided with a tapered part 34 formed in such a manner that it gets thinner as it gets close to a tip. A collision plate 32 on which fuel in a liquid column state injected from the fuel injection valve 30 is arranged at a part opposing the fuel injection hole 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
