摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water controller for an internal combustion engine, which efficiently performs the discharge of hot water stored in a heat accumulator into a cooling water circuit, without causing anything wrong by a rapid deterioration in a heater performance. SOLUTION: At the time of the cold starting of an engine, when the temperature of cooling water, excluding the hot water which is stored in a heat-retention manner in the heat accumulator, is low and the amount of heat possessed by the cooling water is equal to or less than a predetermined amount of heat (S16), switching from a heat-retention mode to a discharge mode is inhibited (S18) even when the operating conditions of a heater unit are satisfied. Then, when the temperature of the cooling water has become high to some degree and the amount of heat possessed by the cooling water has exceeded the predetermined amount of heat, the switching from the heat-retention mode to the discharge mode is completely performed, and the hot water is discharged from the heat accumulator to be circulated in the heater unit (S20).
