PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling wall body which facilitates replacement of part of blocks even if the blocks are damaged, and to provide the blocks per se. SOLUTION: A number of the blocks 11 or 31 for the cooling wall body are superposed on each other, and they are piled up in vertically multiple stages such that plate surfaces of the blocks extend in the vertical direction. A superposed body of the blocks 11 has blocks 21 superposed on both superposing edges thereof. Further, channels 30 formed of aluminum or the like are interposed between the stages of the blocks. If any one of the blocks is damaged, the block adjacent to the damaged one is slid to form a cavity, and the damaged block 11' is tilted and removed, followed by installing a new block in the cavity.
