PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give warning when tire pressure deviates from a prescribed value under certain conditions regardless of a hill or a level ground, and as a result usefulness for controlling tire pressure by a driver is improved. SOLUTION: The detector for tire pressure detects tire pressure by an air pressure sensor 55, and gives warning when the tire pressure deviates from the prescribed value. The detector for tire pressure is provided with an outside air pressure sensor 54 which detects outside air pressure and a means for converting pressure 56 which converts the tire pressure detected by the air pressure sensor 55 into pressure at standard atmospheric pressure by means of the outside air pressure detected by the outside air pressure sensor 54.
