<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sealing device 12 having an improved sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing member 16 comprises an outside seal-lip 23, an intermediate seal-lip 24, and an inside seal lip 25, which come into slide-contact with a to-be-slid-contacted surface in the surface of a slinger 18. The surface roughness of the surface coming in slide-contact with the lips 23, 24, 25 is specified to be 0.3 μm or less in the center-line average roughness (Ra), and 1.2 μm or less in the maximum height (Ry). Thus, a minute gap is hard to generate between the lips 23, 24, and 25 and the slid-contact surface, consequently, an improved sealability is ensured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
