PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven having a humidity sensor for preventing contamination due to exhaust air and persistently keeping the detecting performance by improving the installation position and exhaust structure of the humidity sensor. SOLUTION: This microwave oven includes the humidity sensor. A main exhaust port 35 communicating directly with the outside air, and a sub-exhaust port 36 communicating with the air suction side of a cooling fan 51 are formed in a cooking chamber 12. As for the area of all exhaust ports 35, 36 totalling the main exhaust port 35 and the sub-exhaust port 36, the area of the sub- exhaust port 36 is 10 to 25% of the total. A humidity sensor 60 for sensing the humidity of air of the cooking chamber 12 discharged through the sub- exhaust port 36 is provided in an electric chamber 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
