PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carburetor for an internal combustion engine that allows cleaning, by an air blow, of an air-fuel mixture flow rate adjusting unit or the like of an adjusting hole blocked with a plug body so that a pilot screw for flow rate adjustment cannot be post-adjusted. SOLUTION: An air-fuel mixture generating unit that generates air-fuel mixture of a low speed system and an air-fuel mixture passage 10 that takes in the obtained air-fuel mixture are formed on a carburetor body 1. The air-fuel mixture passage 10 is communicated with a throttle bore 3 of the carburetor body 1. An adjusting hole 14 that is communicated with the middle of the air- fuel mixture passage 10 from outside is formed on the carburetor body 1. A pilot screw 15 for flow rate adjustment is screwed together with the adjusting hole 14 so as to adjust the flow rate of the air-fuel mixture. A cleaning passage 24 that is communicated with an inlet of an air-fuel flow rate adjusting unit 14a of the adjusting hole 14 from outside is provided on the carburetor body 1.
