PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric for a padding cloth, matchable to various face fabrics having various colors and excellent in transparency, and to provide a adhesive padding cloth obtained by using the woven fabric. SOLUTION: This woven fabric for the padding cloth is woven by using polybutylene terephthalate filament yarn as the warp and/or the weft, wherein the fabric has a color difference (ΔE*ab) of 40-55 which is given by laying the fabric on a white backboard and on a black backboard, using a halogen lamp or a xenon lamp as a light source, measuring the colors according to JIS Z 8722, and calculating the color difference between the colors according to JIS Z 8730, regardless of whether the halogen lamp or the xenon lamp is used.
