INSECT-PROOFING AND DEODORIZING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insect-proofing and deodorizing agent that can exhibit both insect-proofing and deodorizing functions at the same time by using a deodorizing component which does not absorb an insect-proofing component even if they are concomitantly used. SOLUTION: This insect-proofing and deodorizing agent has a combination of a volatile insect-proofing component such as a pyrethroid compound and Kansui (white Japanese marble or calcite). Kansui sand does not absorb the volatile insect-proofing component, therefore it can exhibit both insect-proofing and deodorizing functions at the same time. The volatile insect-proofing component and Kansui sand can be used by mixing them or by storing them in separate packaging materials. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
