<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector system with stereoscopic vision which does not require a change of design in the optical element of an existing liquid crystal projector. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal projectors C and D, a liquid crystal light valve 32 for green emits P-polarized image light, and a liquid crystal light valve 31 for red and a liquid crystal light valve 33 for blue emit S-polarized image light. An image signal path converting part 22 supplies a red image signal Rl for the left eye, a blue image signal Bl for the left eye and a green image signal Gr for the right eye to the liquid crystal projector C, and supplies a red image signal Rr for the right eye, a blue image signal Br for the right eye, and a green image signal Gl for the left eye to the liquid crystal projector D.
