PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing body for a polyacrylonitrile oxidized fiber bundle, which makes it possible to prevent the fiber bundle from tangling or loosening, which makes it possible to carry the fiber bundle while keeping a sheet shape formed during its production, and which makes it possible to prevent trouble such as miscutting the fiber bundle when processing the fiber bundle into nonwoven fabric or the like. SOLUTION: In a moisture barrier bag disposed in the packing container of the packing body for the polyacrylonitrile oxidized fiber bundle, the fiber bundle folded so that one layer covers another layer is airtightly stored. In the polyacrylonitrile oxidized fiber bundle, the ratio (W1/W2) of moisture content (W1) in the packed state of the fiber bundle to equilibrium moisture content (W2) is 1.2 to 1.8, and fiber bundle pack density (on the basis of a mass of dry fiber bundle) is 0.10 to 0.35 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
