PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller holding device for a printer in which a roller replacement can be conducted easily and rapidly with a simple structure and a set nip pressure can be always held. SOLUTION: The roller holding device for the printer comprises a roller arm 6 oscillatorily supported to a metal roller 2a, a holder 11 oscillatorily supported to the arm 6 to detachably hold a rubber roller 2c to the arm 6, and a pressing member 17 provided at the holder 11 to press the roller 2 to the roller 2a.
