<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment composition having high color purity and coloring power and excellent transparency and to provide a pigment dispersion resist and a color filter having a hardened coating layer of the pigment dispersion resist. <P>SOLUTION: The pigment composition for a color filter contains copper phthalocyanine halide expressed by formula (1) and C. I. PIGMENT GREEN 7 with the average number of substituents of bromine controlled to 3 to 10 or the total bromine content controlled to 18 to 63% on the mass basis. In formula (1), X represents bromine, Y represents chlorine, m represents an integer from 3 to 10, n represents an integer from 6 to 13 and H represents hydrogen with an integer resulting by subtracting m and n from 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
