摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft made of FRP capable of productively manufacturing a propeller made of the FRP provided with a metallic coupling in the same manner as a conventional metallic propeller shaft. SOLUTION: There is formed with the shaft 20 made of the FRP at both ends of a pipe 12 made of FRP by jointing the metallic cylindrical body 15 including a serration 15a which extends in axial direction on outer circumferential surface. The cylindrical member 15 is such that one end is jointed in condition protruding from the end of the pipe 12 made of the FRP and that it is formed to make it possible to weld deposit metallic coupling parts 13a, 14a composed of a part of a universal joint in the propeller shaft at a protuberance 15b. The metallic coupling parts 13a, 14a is welded deposit to the protuberance 15b of the cylindrical member 15 jointed to both ends of the pipe 12 made of the FRP by means of frictional pressure welding and welding and the propeller shaft is produced.
